Scout Groups in Fredericton and Oromocto will be conducting their yearly 'Apple Day' in which they give out Apples to say thank you to their communities
Apple Day began in Saint John in 1932, as a way to say thank you to the community. Since then it has become a fall tradition and a fundraising staple for many scouting groups across Canada.
All money raised during Apple Day goes directly to local groups to improve their scouting programs by allowing them to provide more outdoor adventures, purchase camping gear, training, and many other things.
